BC Race Cars Inc. bids farewell to our beloved #20 2019 TA2 Camaro, affectionally nick-named “Chromy” due to its unique chrome blue wrap.
The car was built in the winter of 2018/2019 and made its debut at Sebring 2019. Driven all year by Misha Goikhberg, this wonderful machine gave BCR two firsts: our first pole position at an SCCA Trans-Am TA2 weekend (Atlanta) and our first ever win (Detroit)!
In its 11 race TA2 season in 2019 it earned 2 poles, 4 top-3 qualifying results, and 3 podiums; always qualifying in the top 10 and providing some very entertaining races.
In 2020, team owner Blaise Csida won the Ontario GT-1 Pirelli Sprints Championship, establishing some firsts for a TA2 car in the process. Peter Klutt and Michelle Abbate were the only 2 other drivers to enjoy the car, both with great success.
New owner Evan Pecore is no stranger to Motorsports, and hopes to run a few TA2 races as well as campaign the car at SCCA events. With a professional crew behind him, and a great track record as a driver, we are assured of the car’s continued success! And BC Race Cars will be here to help Evan all the way!
