BC Race Cars purchased a 1998 Trans-Am Camaro from the estate of one of our customers a few years ago. We campaigned the car for 2 race weekends, where we swept Shannonville and won 2 races at Mosport. But we were not happy with the performance of this car.
After the engine blew up, we parked it for a year, being way too busy to do anything. Last fall, we decided to strip and freshen the car, which turned into a full restoration. To say we went too far is an understatement; new front clip, re-engineered suspension, front and rear, completely new wiring, plumbing, interior, dash, etc.
The car is so close to completion; we only have set up and testing to do before entering it into a race weekend. We were targeting the VARAC VINTAGE GRAND PRIX June 13-16, 2024 at Mosport (CTMP) as our first race; unfortunately we are going to miss that. However, we will have it on display, please drop by and check it out.
