BC Race Cars was proud to field four cars in the first Ontario CASC weekend of the year at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. Great fields and mostly good weather marked the event, everyone anxious to get the season going finally.
Lain Vendatelli pushed his beautiful vintage Corvette to the max all weekend, winning his class in the first 2 out of 3 races, often beating cars in faster classes. The sky opened up for the last race, and without rain tires, Lain had to retire the car for safety reasons. He also achieved a lap record of 1:30.04 with this car, bettering last years by almost a second.
James McLean was anxious to try his #07 stock car with a new, more powerful engine for the season. While it’s a steep learning curve to master driving this monster, James did great and improved every session to achieve a personal best of 1:22.7! Not bad for a guy who just got his license one year ago!
Owner Blaise Csida was piloting our inexpensive ASA stock car for the weekend, trying to develop and showcase it for future customers. While the car needs more development work, Blaise still managed to score third place in all the 3 races, with a best time of 1:22.4. This car is available for rent at $10K for any of the Mosport Regional weekends; please contact us if you are interested in trying it out.
Leroy Micallef, a “graduate” of the BCR development program, was ready to try a Trans-Am car. He drove, for the first time, our #20 TA2 Mustang, and what a great job he did! Every session, he was improving, looking at video and telemetry to find lap time. By the last race of the weekend, he managed a 1:21.7, a personal fastest and extremely respectable lap time for a TA2 car in this configuration. He also finished second in all 3 races, congrats Leroy! This car is also available for testing or racing. Please contact BCR for details.
