Great run at GP3R for Jared & BCR — until it wasn’t!

What a weekend in Trois-Rivières with BC Race Cars and Jared Odrick for NASCAR Canada!

Jared was quickly up to speed in practice, and the BCR #24 Black Underwear /Cathcart Trucking Mustang kept getting better with every session. Then, with just 10 minutes left in practice…  engine failure.

No panic. Just teamwork. The BC Race Cars crew went into overdrive and had the spare engine ready for the heat race that afternoon — cleaning every line, cooler and tank and leaving nothing to chance.   Huge thanks to DJ Kennington for the engine and massive credit to our crew for an incredible turnaround!

Starting dead last due to a NASCAR engine-change rule, Jared put on a show in the race, charging through the field and proving just how fast this car could be. He worked his way to P9 without a single incident, picking them off one by one.  Then came the final restart. Jared was up to 4th when a kamikaze move by one of the local heroes ended our race.

The result certainly wasn’t what we wanted, but the speed and progress of Jared and the BC Race Cars #24 Black Underwear /Cathcart Trucking Mustang were impossible to miss.

Now the crew is working feverishly to repair, improve and get this car ready for The Streets of Markham in just a few days!
