TA2 Race Car Rentals

Inaugural Rental Car Report

We finally had a chance to shake down our “cheap” rental race Mustang, MP-016 at Shannonville during the CASC Spring Fling. It was a beautiful spring day, very cold and a little slick in the morning, but well organized and worth attending.

Mechanically, everything went as expected. No leaks, engine ran great, the TKO 5-speed is a pleasure to shift, and the brakes are outstanding. But as with any new design, there is some additional tuning required.

The car is very sharp on the nose, its direction change is too quick resulting in some rear end instability and over rotation. We are in the process of analysing the data and making changes for the next event at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in early May. Unfortunately, the car proved too quick to be in GT2 class (which was our goal), even on terribly old, used tires we ran 3 seconds under the break out. GT-1 it is!

We are booking rentals now, please contact Blaise if interested.
