BCR visited Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut for round four of the SCCA Pro Trans-Am series, fielding two cars in the TA2 class with two amazing drivers. Weather was awesome, the scenery breathtaking, and the weekend was simply outstanding with great fans and excellent organization. Credit to Trans-Am and the race track.
We struggled a bit with performance this weekend. We made some good adjustments, and by qualifying the cars were pretty quick. Tony Ave, driving our #25 Camaro, was able to put a great lap together and ended up P3. Misha in our #10 BCR machine was looking to save his tires for the race, and only did 3 laps, landing him in P8. Not what we were hoping for, but the difference between P3 and P8 was 0.15 secs!
Both drivers did an amazing job on the start, moving up positions. However, we did miss the race set-up a bit and we simply did not have the pace on the long runs, both drivers struggling with very loose cars. They did well to salvage 6th and 7th positions at the end, a testament to their driving talents.
Off to Detroit in a couple of days for the next round.
