BC Race Cars Inc. was proud to field the #24 NASCAR Canada Mustang with Jack Polito making his debut in the series. As expected, Jack did an amazing job in a car that is diabolically different than anything he has driven.
Practise did not go well for us; the set-up we developed a few weeks ago in testing did not work on this rubbered-in track. We made wholesale changes between practise and qualifying and we nailed it.
We were asking a lot of Jack for qualifying, driving a new set-up and really having the one lap, the first lap, to get it done! He did a best ever lap time and was good enough for 12th in this stacked field!

The race was equally exciting! We had some contact early on that resulted in the quarter panel being ripped open and acting like a parachute. We could not pit him for repairs as we were not in our fuel window, but did so at the first opportunity, where the crew quickly cut it off, made some chassis adjustments, and fueled him to the end of the race.
With the yellow not falling in our favour, we fell back to 18th, but Jack drove a fantastic race, and strategically fought his way back to finish 12th.
We thank our sponsors; Polito Ford, Ford Pro Commercial Vehicle Centre, Ackers Auto Glass, OK Tire Lindsay, and Cathcart Trucking. Without the help and support of these companies, we could not go racing.
