We are excited to announce our new Ontario club racing design. This build is the result of our experience in manufacturing TA cars and 20 years of competing in the Trans-Am series.
The goal was producing a car that is faster than a TA2 machine, yet costs less to operate and maintain both on the race weekends and on the long run. We examined every aspect of the build; materials used, driveline, brakes, wheels/tires, etc.
At this stage, the chassis has been completed. For the first time in our history, we produced the entire car out of round tubing. We settled on a steel from Finland called Docol R8, an incredible material that has a higher tensile strength than chromoly yet is less sensitive to weld cracking. As a bonus, it is significantly cheaper.
The entire chassis weighs just 320 lbs yet boasts exceptional torsional rigidity. Next up is interior work, we will post updates as major steps are completed. We aim to test the car in the spring of 2026.
